Unique Caféracer with incredible attention to detail
Basically a Yamaha TR1 1000cc
Built from the ground up
Both wheels and Brembo calipers come from Ducati, but one of the discs has been removed for aesthetic reasons.
The glossy top crown took several weeks to manufacture. It was made from a solid piece of aluminum
It is naked, compact, and minimalist. Has an exquisite design that breathes retro streetfighter and caféracer, with an emphasis on racing.
The beautifully curved exhaust system is custom-made but is inspired by the Italian build of Fireball. The window for the clutch and the mag spoiler that hides the battery are John's own creations.
Fireball was built by Christian Moretti, who runs the motorcycle building company Plan B Motorcycles in Northern Italy. He started with a Yamaha TR1 engine at a thousand cc and created a striking machine that was featured in many motorcycle magazines.
John, who built this bike, bought a TR1 and started with the V-twin and the frame.
He received the original blueprints from Christian but didn’t understand them, so he had to do this build his own way. It took John a total of 2 years, working 4 hours a day, to build this Caféracer.
The fuel tank is made of aluminum and welded in John's garage. The seat is custom-made in England. An extremely large number of parts are built and machined in John's garage.
The original is no longer available! Christian Moretti sold the bike, and the new owner crashed it. Since then, nothing has been heard about that beautiful machine. So now this bike seems to be the only one rolling. It is also prettier than the Italian one.
